"The Boat” was designed by James Braid, one of golf’s famed Great Triumvirate (with Harry Vardon and J.H.Taylor). He was also a grand-master of golf course architecture and this Highland masterpiece features 18 individual holes winding their way through birch trees, heather and whins. He has maximised the natural landscape and produced a beautiful and challenging course which lures in the unwary and sets a formidable challenge which only the most accurate golfer will match.
Boat of Garten regularly features in listings of the best courses in Scotland is always wonderfully presented and is renowned as a demanding test of sporting skill. Dubbed “the Gleneagles of the North” the Course has become firmly established as a “must” for golfers, whether enjoying a golfing tour or just playing one or two rounds in the Highlands. The Club’s PGA Professional, Ross Harrower, not only provides tuition but also keeps a well-stocked golf shop offering golf equipment and clothing plus club repairs and club hire. Two tennis courts, recently refurbished and well-maintained, are available for those members and visitors looking for an alternative to golf.
From 1st April to 1st November Society rates are available for groups of 12 and over
