Situated on the west side of the village, this parkland course, after initial troubles with the Estate, settles on its present site in 1893.
Harry Vardon was approached to design the second nine holes in 1906 and by 1908 the 18 holes were in operation. Since then the club has been well patronised by visitors who find its rolling layout and stunning views a relaxing way to spend their leisure time.
Opening with a Par 3, the course soon settles down into a mix of medium length Par 4's and some great short Par 3's, particularly the 15th played from one side of the River Gynack to the other.
The final hole plays alongside the river and the gentle sound of the water always puts you in the mood for a refreshing drink in the friendly clubhouse.
