Aigas golf course is a small family run business established in 1993 when Peter and Jessie Masheter diversified farmland into fairways. The course was designed by professional golfer Bill Mitchell who transformed naturally undulating land into a 9-hole par 33 parkland course. The golf course has matured beautifully during its first 30 years and our excellent greenkeeping team always keep it well-manicured. We also have a fully equipped practise area adjacent to the clubhouse. The course is situated at the foot of Strathglass – a ten-minute drive from Beauly and 25minute drive from Inverness and loch Ness.
Aigas has a spectacular setting nestling between the peacefully flowing river Beauly and the steep pine clad slopes of the Aigas community forest. Wide naturally undulating fairways and large greens are a pleasing feature of this course.
Visitors are most welcome to play at Aigas. We have 4 holiday cottages a short walk from the first tee and our stay and play guests enjoy 50% off green fees. Within an hour’s drive there are another 25 courses to play making Aigas a great base for golfing visitors.
The newly renovated open plan clubhouse serves as a starter’s office. With a modern log burning stove it provides a cosy place for golfers to relax after a game and enjoy hot drinks and refreshments. At the clubhouse we sell a limited range of snacks and golfing items. We have a good range of clubs, trolleys, and golf buggies for hire. Buggies need to be booked in advance.
