Nairn is an attractive seaside town with a prime location on the Moray Firth and is one of the driest and sunniest places in Scotland.

In the 19th century, thousands of Victorians flocked to the town reputedly believing in medical properties of the local sea waters. Today the town remains a popular holiday destination with pleasure boats in the harbour, while Nairn Museum explores the town’s history, recalling its time as a busy herring fishing port.

Visitors can enjoy the sandy beaches, riverside walks, the promenade with fantastic views over the Moray Firth, golf on two championship golf courses, and plenty of good restaurants and shopping around.

During the summer months, Nairn hosts an extensive programme of family entertainment and major events including the Nairn Agricultural Show and the Nairn Highland Games.

The town is also a great base for exploring the Scottish Highlands with Cawdor Castle, Brodie Castle, Culloden Battlefield, Clava Stones, Loch Ness, Castle Urquhart, Culbin Forest and the new viewpoint tower, the Cairngorm National Park, and the Whisky Trail being just within an hour’s drive.
