About Kingussie Golf Club

Kingussie Golf Club’s 18 Hole (SSS 68) course provides something for every golfer, whether starting out or seasoned pro! Nestled along the banks of the River Gynack, and surrounded by breath-taking scenery, it overlooks the Cairngorms in one direction and the Monadhliaths on the other, and a round of golf at Kingussie is an experience not to be missed for any golfer.
The range of different environments on and around the course accentuates the scenic rewards, as well as providing a haven for a range of wildlife, such as roe deer, red squirrel and moorland birds, often to be seen during a round of golf.

The course would be described as moorland, with the highest point of 310m at the 6th tee, yet much of the layout is on the gentler terraces along each side of the river. It is not an arduous course, but of course a buggy is available for hire if required. The course is expertly maintained by Craig Dawson our Head Greenkeeper and his team.
In addition to regular weekly competitions for all members, regular Open competitions for Gents, Ladies and Seniors are staged, details of which are to be found on the club’s own website. (www.kingussie-golf.co.uk)

In summary it is a wonderful example of Highland golf and hospitality at its best, providing the privilege of a challenging game of golf in the most energising of surroundings.
